Prayer to Receive the Holy Spirit

Dear Heavenly Father,

I come before You today with a humble and contrite heart, recognizing that I am a sinner in need of Your grace and mercy. Lord, I acknowledge my sins, my shortcomings, and my failures. I have fallen short of Your glory, and I am truly sorry for the wrongs I have committed.

Father, I believe in Your Son, Jesus Christ, who came to this earth, lived a sinless life, and willingly died on the cross for my sins. I believe in His resurrection and that He now sits at Your right hand, interceding on my behalf. Jesus, I put my faith and trust in You as my Lord and Savior. Please forgive me for my sins and cleanse me with Your precious blood.

Holy Spirit, I invite You into my heart and my life. Fill me with Your presence and guide me on the path of righteousness. Empower me to turn away from my sinful nature and to live a life that glorifies You. Teach me, comfort me, and lead me in Your truth.
