Heavenly Father,

I come before You today with a heavy heart, recognizing the hypocrisy that has crept into my life. I acknowledge that there have been times when I've put on a show of piety, not for Your glory but for my own. I repent for the moments when I've sought the praise of people over Your affirmation, for elevating myself while neglecting true righteousness.

Lord, please forgive me for reducing my faith to mere performance. Forgive me for caring more about how I am seen by others than how I am seen by You. Forgive me for giving You my words and actions, but not my heart. Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Reveal to me any way that is grievous in me and lead me in the way everlasting.
